Getting Started with Your Web Hosting Account

1. Log in to the Client Area

2. Configuring Your Domain Name

If you registered your domain with us, it's already pointed to our servers. Otherwise, you must manually set your domain's nameservers to those provided in your Account Activation Email.
Note: We cannot assist with domain changes if your domain is not registered with us. Please contact your registrar directly.

May take 24–72 hours, sometimes up to 5 days. Check propagation status via:


3. Creating Your Website

You can build your site using tools like AceHTML, Dreamweaver, or Notepad++. Or install 1-click apps via Softaculous in your cPanel (WordPress, Joomla, Moodle, etc.).

 

 

4. Uploading Website Files

Use FileZilla to upload your website:

  • Connect using IP address, username, and password (from activation email)
  • Upload to public_html (Linux) or www (Windows)
  • Ensure a homepage like index.html exists

Temporary Access: http://IPaddress/~yourusername/

 

 

5. Enabling SSL

Free SSL via Let’s Encrypt is installed automatically once your domain resolves. Manage it via cPanel → SSL/TLS Status.

 

 

6. Setting Up Email Accounts

Create email accounts from cPanel → Email Accounts. Use your domain or server IP for POP/IMAP/SMTP settings.

Webmail: Access via http://yourdomain.com/webmail or http://ipaddress/webmail

 

 

7. Setting Up Email Forwarders

Go to cPanel → Forwarders → Add Forwarder. Forwarding emails from your domain to any external email address.

 

 

8. Backup Strategy

Regularly back up your website and data using cPanel → Backup Wizard. Download full or partial backups locally.

 

 

9. Security Best Practices

  • Change passwords regularly
  • Avoid sharing credentials over email or chat
  • Install only trusted software and plugins

 

 

10. Hosting Plan Limits & Upgrades

Monitor usage in cPanel → Metrics. Upgrade at anytime by opening a support ticket.

Coming from another cPanel-based host? Contact support with your old cPanel credentials and we’ll migrate your site for free.

 

 

12. Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don’t delete public_html or default folders
  • Use lowercase filenames
  • Always enable SMTP authentication in your email client
